“Financiapocalypse”
We have all heard so much over the past few weeks about the U.S. and global financial crisis. Personally, I think we should hear more about it and should have heard more earlier. We can debate as to who is at fault for that - the government, the news media, or Joe 6-pack / Joe the Plumber (groan) - but we are all at fault.
Well, here is one more suggestion on how to batten down the hatches from the blog Lifehacker and prepare for the future. The real thing that caught my eye with this article is something I want to send to a good number of people in my life:
“Skip the fantasy football league and take the time to set up a nameplate web site, your new business card on the web. Start a blog about your area of expertise and make a name for yourself. When your next potential client or employer Googles you, make sure the right stuff shows up on top.”
It is easy to be lulled, relaxed, sedated, and lazified (yep, I sure did) when you were born into the wealth of this country. But, as one of my good friends and I like to say, “Lets do this America!”
