An Old Dog Teaching Us Something About New Tricks
We’ve been working with the Bill Cosby team and it’s been a pleasure on a number of levels. Clearly there’s the simple history of having grown up with the man in your living room every night. Of course there’s his pure and true desire - whether you agree with his perspective or not - to make positive change in the world. Obviously he’s also hilarious.
Still, this week has been the most eye-opening, and on a completely different plane. In a recent online video exchange with Shira Lazar, Mr. Cosby summed up why it is that he’s now looking at social media as a compelling outlet for his message:
It’s amazing. All the social media experts rattling off mumbo jumbo and waxing poetic about engagement, the landscape, and [fill in the buzz word]…and 72-years young Bill Cosby nails it in plain English:
Albert Einstein once said “if you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself.” Mr. Cosby showed this week he understands it…a lot better than most of those that claim to.
